Eventually after a couple of tries or after starting it with the throttle raised it would continue to run and act normal.The battery must be healthy and fully charged, all connections tight and not heating up. Not sure how you have the starter circuitry wired, but if it uses a solenoid and the key switch, there may be a wiring problem or a bad ignition switch.
